Meat Production Plant Hit the EIE Report!

No permissions were granted for the construction of the Integrated Meat Facilities the foundations of which were laid down by Minister of Finance, Kemal Unakıtan.

The decision regarding the facilities will be concluded by Ministry of Finance. The destiny of Edirne Meat and Integrated Facilities the foundations of which were laid down and whose construction has almost been completed is at the hands of the Ministry of Environment. It was announced in the statement released by the Governor’s Office pertaining to the facilities which were closed down due to fact that they do not have Environmental Impact Evaluation report and occupy the wetlands and it is impossible for the report to be completed that the decision would be made by the Ministry of Environment. The officials making a statement following the news by in media and press have notified that the reporting activities have been suspended at the moment. It was declared in the statement recalling the facilities occupy the wetlands and which facilities are not allowed in the wetlands is supervised by the law that the construction of the facility is not allowed at the moment, accordingl
